Gnomes flock to Worthing school as staff and pupils go green to raise money for garden project

Teachers and pupils at West Park Primary School in Goring have had glorious weather for their Green Day today, raising money towards a new garden project by dressing in green, floral outfits or as gnomes.

Alexis Dickins, co-ordination and teacher, said: “Our Garden is a concept built out of giving our children space and time to reflect on the previous year and looking forward to the next years with time spent by staff, children and the local community in re-vamping an area of school to make it a sensory, educational and peaceful place where we can all relax.

“Everyone, staff and children, all really entered into the spirit of the day. From staff dressed as gnomes and the children all in green, it was a lovely sight and a lovely day. Our green spaces will really benefit from days like this and in turn our West Park family will benefit, too. I am really proud of our children and our school.”
