Hailsham Rotary club invites Eastbourne community group to give talk on its work

Members of Hailsham Rotary Club have been finding out more about the work of award winning community group Community Stuff.

Members of the group, led by Sue Morris and Clare Hackney Ring, gave a twenty minute talk, displayed its work and answered a series of questions from the Rotarians last Tuesday (February 18).

Robin White, who invited Community Stuff after visiting one of their projects in Eastbourne, was deeply impressed with their work.

He said: “They are lovely, very enthusiastic ladies who work tirelessly for their communities.”

Community Stuff, which is based in Eastbourne but works throughout East Sussex, leads a number of projects to support local disadvantaged local families. Alongside cookery courses and free public events it has also released ‘Beyond the foodbank’, a book full of recipes and budgeting advice to help families reliant on food banks make the most of what they have.
