‘Incredible’ support for six-year-old Worthing girl’s charity cycle ride in aid of Cancer Research UK
Support for a six-year-old Worthing girl’s charity cycle ride in aid of Cancer Research UK has been ‘incredible’.
Mum Kaya Field is grateful to all who have donated to the fundraising page, with the total currently standing at £1,843.
Lacey-may Hardley, a pupil at Ferring CE Primary School, wanted to do something to help people affected by cancer and she completed her ten-mile cycle from Brighton Pier to Worthing Pier yesterday.
Kaya said: “She done it and the donation are incredible.
“Lacey-may is a very caring young child. She has seen TV adverts on kids with cancer. We also know a few people that have been thought it.
“I’ve done a lot of charity fund raising and bits, so she decided to ask me if she could do a long bike ride for cancer.”
Lacey-may really enjoyed the ride but found it ‘pretty hard’.
She said: “Why I am doing it is because everything I see on the telly, it isn’t fair for cancer people. This is my idea to raise money.
“I see children on TV in hospital with cancer and I get really upset when it comes on. I asked my mum if I could do a bike ride and she said yes, so we decided to do ten miles.”
