The shelter and surrounding plants feature in a new jigsaw, a first for the Friends of Mewsbrook Park.

All profits from sales of the puzzle, which measures about 48cm by 69cm, will help the Friends continue their work to improve the park for all to enjoy.

Billy Blanchard-Cooper, chairman of the Friends of Mewsbrook Park, said: “In this uneasy time for us all, groups and societies are all having to find different ways to raise much-needed funds to be able to continue with the work that they all do.

“So to help them continue to be able to raise funds during this unusual time we find ourselves in, the Friends of Mewsbrook Park park have designed and produced their very own Mewsbrook Park puzzle.”

The design features a beautiful scene of the park’s iconic art deco shelter, taken by local amateur photographer and society member Diana Adams.

Diana said: “It was wonderful to be asked to be a part of this project to help to continue to raise funds for the society and I’m extremely chuffed to have one of my photos turned into a puzzle.”

The society has ordered only a short run of this particular design but if it proves popular, it will look into ordering more.

Billy said: “In these times, it is so difficult for any group to fundraise and so we are pleased to be able to do so in this unique way.

“We would like to thank Littlehampton Town Council for a grant towards the production costs.”

The jigsaw puzzle costs £15 and can be ordered by calling Billy on 01903 718300 or emailing [email protected]. Payment can be made by cash or cheque made payable to the Friends of Mewsbrook Park. Purchases must be collected from Billy’s home in Littlehampton, following Covid social distancing regulations.
