“When we read about this year’s Poppy Appeal and the worry that they wouldn’t make as much money due to current restrictions, we knew we had to help.

“We weren’t planning on wearing wet suits, which seemed like a good idea at the time.

“This will be a proper challenge as I struggled to go in the sea in August. Each day will be filmed for proof by Ricky, who is ex-military so knows how vital this money is each year. It would be amazing if people would support us by making a donation.”

The Royal British Legion provides a lifetime of care and support to the UK armed forces and their families.

The trio set a target of £100 but have already raised £777 through their JustGiving page. Carolyn said the support so far had been ‘amazing’ and they hoped by sharing videos and photos, they will raise a lot more.
