Prestige Security staff take on 31-mile walk in memory of former colleagues

Six members from Prestige Security in Crawley took on a 31 mile charity walk for the Kent Surrey and Sussex air ambulance in memory of fellow security colleagues Luke and Phil and also in memory of Baby Eddie.

Chris Malden, from Crawley Charlie Deeley, from Worthing, Justin Yule, from Crawley, Mark Fisher, Matt Vardy and Michael Adams, all from Horsham, started their walk at the air ambulance base at Redhill aerodrome at 6am on Sunday April 4.

Making their way through Horley, Crawley, Balcombe, Cuckfield, Burgess Hill, Hassocks and finishing up at Brighton Pier at 5.05pm.

Chris said: “Overall it was a tough challenge both physically and mentally, the last few miles where by far the hardest. The pain had set in and the blisters had become unbearable but as a team we persevered to the end and raised over £2600 in the process.
