Worthing shoppers queue outside one popular store: in pictures

Shoppers in Worthing have turned out to one particular store this morning (June 15) as non-essential retailers were allowed to reopen.

Thanks to a 50 per cent offer for all NHS workers, dozens lined up to shop at Sports Direct. Social distancing was observed by those queueing. Aside from this, the town centre remained largely empty. Retailers have been preparing for the reopening by introducing new ways of socially-distanced shopping, such as hand sanitiser stations and marked pathways which shoppers will have to follow. They have taken their cue from supermarkets, pharmacies and other essential stores which have remained open throughout the lockdown. Did you go shopping today?
