Chloe Peskett, who is in year nine at St Oscar Romero Catholic School in Goring, is a director of the Future Promise, an organisation tasked with transforming the old caretaker’s house.

The building is to become a wellbeing centre for students and the garden is to include an allotment where the whole community can get involved.

The organisation is also helping to build sustainability awareness within the school, including a tree planting plan this Easter.

Chloe, who lives in Littlehampton, has been named as one of the Brilliant Young People in the Careers Champions Recognition Series run by The Careers & Enterprise Company.

Phil Dean, extended learning leader, said: “Chloe really does deserve this recognition for all she and her team does.

“Every time the Future Promise is mentioned, Chloe always quotes the team. She is a true ambassador to young people, showing great levels of leadership, grit and determination.”

Chloe said as project director, she was grateful to her team, including her mum as the finance director, business adviser Neil Budgen, technology teacher Ms Gabbie Douch, classmates Catlin McTighe, Innes Jefferies, Katarina Gkoufa, Charlie Badman and Rebaka Webb, and Mr Dean.
