Worthing’s 16th annual charity flingathon was held to commemorate the day, in March 1901, when the SS Indiana ran aground after colliding with another ship in the English Channel.

Tens of thousands of oranges and lemons were swilled by the sea from a giant gash in its hold onto the beach.
