Poem of the weekWinter's Presence

TREES, stark memorials of summer days-

Looking at them gives courage to carry on,

For if they will not let nature’s harsher elements

destroy them, can we give in to lesser things?

Snowflakes lightly silently

Fluttering down covering

hill and dale with robes

of crystal lace bringing warmth.

Birdsong hushed, faithful

Robin never far away,

His flame of song even now

Gives hope to each new day.
