Police appeal for assault victim to come forward

Police are appealing for the victim of an assault in Worthing town centre to come forward.

Police were called to Chapel Road just after 9pm on Thursday to a report of 5 males fighting but upon arriving at the scene, found that they had dispersed.

It is believed that the men were all known to each other.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “We responded to a report of an assault but everyone had dispersed before we had arrived.

“We urge the victim to come forward and we are studying CCTV and making house-to-house enquiries.”

Anyone who has any information can call Sussex Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
