Police have arrested a man following an assault.

Police said they were called to Rowlands Road in Worthing around 10pm on Monday night, where a man was arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding with intent, possession of heroin and three counts of assault.

He has been bailed until July 21 pending further enquiries.

The suspect is described as a black man of medium build, at least 5’5”, with black braided hair which was long at the back and a fake tooth. He was wearing a grey tracksuit top, bottoms and white trainers, and had a black shoulder bag in his possession, according to police.

Police said another man pulled up in a silver saloon type car and is believed to be known to the suspect. He is described as having a beard, and wearing a grey hoody with the hood up.
