Police identify pensioner’s body in Washington

POLICE have identified the body of a pensioner discovered in Washington.

The man was discovered in a parked Ford Focus, in a car park next to Parkfield Farm, in Glaseby Lane, on Thursday (February 6) afternoon.

He has since been identified as Ronald Lane, 75, of County Durham.

He had been reported missing from his family home in Carshalton, on Wednesday (February 5).

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the Coroner’s Officer has been informed.
