Police launch witness appeal after Bognor Rox crowd member assaulted

POLICE launched an appeal today (August 12) to catch two suspected assailants who beat up someone at the Bognor Rox in July.

The attack happened between midnight and 12.30am on July 26 while the 21-year-old victim was with his girlfriend and friends.

“He was punched in the mouth, snapping a front tooth and exposing the nerve, causing him severe pain,” said a police spokesman.

“There are believed to be two suspects, both white men aged 18-25. The first is 5’ 10” - 6’, heavily built and with very short dark hair. He was wearing a dark coloured top and jeans.

“The second suspect is around 5’ 10”, of slim/thin build, with brown hair described as short at the sides and spikey on top.

“This man was smartly dressed, wearing a pastel pink button shirt with collar and dark coloured chinos.”

Police said the assault happened on the seafront near Victoria Road after the man attended the Bognor Rox concert.

Anyone who saw what happened was asked to email [email protected] or phone 101, quoting serial 86 of July 26.

Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
