Appeal lodged over Ferring homes refusal

AN appeal has been lodged against Arun District Council’s refusal to grant planning permission for up to 40 homes on just over half-an-acre of land at Grenyer’s Field, south of the A259 at Ferring.

The rejected proposal would have created a new vehicular access on to the A259, near the site of the Asda superstore now being built.

Arun council is setting aside £15,000 to finance its costs of the appeal.

A new application to the council seeks permission to demolish 32 and 34 Sea Lane, Ferring, and build nine four-bedroom homes on the site.
