New look West Sussex Care Guide now available
A new look guide providing information and advice about care and support services for adults in West Sussex for 2016/17 is now available.
West Sussex Care Guide also has details of all care organisations registered with the Care Quality Commission.
The new version features a new design, and lists both care at home services (separated into categories of need) and care homes within the county (separated into northern, southern and western areas).
This aims to give residents a clear idea of what is available locally.
There are also two handy checklists included inside, one focusing on the welfare benefits and payments available when funding care in a care home, and the other on what to consider when choosing care itself.
As well as information on day-care and community care services, there are details on extra-care housing schemes and the support on-hand for carers. The guide also outlines how you can share your experiences of care in West Sussex.
Available as an interactive eBook, residents can browse through the guide online in the same way as a printed version.
Peter Catchpole, West Sussex County Council’s cabinet member for adult social care and health, said: “There are many reasons why you may consider care and support and it’s good to plan ahead when you can.
“This makes having the most up-to-date information vitally important, which is why we produce our care guide each year.”
To view or download the guide visit www.westsussex.gov.uk/careguide, where you can order a hard copy if preferable.
Copies are available at libraries and GP surgeries across West Sussex or for more information please call 01243 642121.
