POLL RESULT BLOW FOR OLD FOLK
Few readers taking part in our latest on-line poll are willing to pay more council tax tosupport services for older folk.
The result comes as East Sussex County Council has warned that the threshold foraccess to some services for older people will have to be raised because of budget pressures.
The cuncil is pumping extra money into old people's welfare but is still having to cut costs to try and meet the ever increasing demands.
Our poll showed only 17 per cent of those taking part would be willing to pay more.
