Mr Condie will be tasked with overseeing the port’s progress in the coming year.

He said: “I am looking forward to the opportunities of the role and working closely with the chairman of the board.

“The port operates in a very challenging market and I look forward to building on its successes and helping the business to continue to thrive.”

Chairman of the board James May added: “Stuart brings a wealth of experience to the role, with an in-depth knowledge of transportation infrastructure, commercial expertise and financial acumen.

“Having held many other non-executive director posts, Stuart is well placed to help steer the strategic direction of the port.”
