The Poundland branding has already been added to the storefront, with the store opening planned for Saturday, September 1.

The existing Poundland store in Montague Street will close the day before the move and relocate over the road.

Golden Tickets with a range of different prizes will be given to the first 50 people to enter the store and a further 450 distributed throughout the day.

Top prize will be a £50 voucher for Poundland or its clothing brand PEP&CO.

Entertainment will be provided during the opening day, including free face painting in store, balloons for the children and a showcase of the PEP&CO clothing range.

The PEP&CO range has been added to 320 stores across the UK – one third of Poundland stores – in what they claim is ‘the fastest organic rollout of a new retail brand in British history’.

Poundland’s UK & Ireland managing director Barry Williams said: “We’re so excited to be bringing PEP&CO to Poundland here in Worthing, with a brand new-look store. We’re on the hunt for local trend-setting bargain hunters to help us tell everyone we’ve arrived.”
