On Saturday, August 6, 35 Pre-School children and over 150 of their friends and family came together in Christ Church to wish the children the very best of luck as they leave the Nursery and head off to school.

Rachel Hardy, nursery manager, said: “It was a wonderful way to say goodbye to children and their families.

“It is always an emotional time saying goodbye, we hold a Graduation Ceremony every year in which we all come together to celebrate the children’s time and achievements with us before they head off on the next step of their learning ladders.

“There will always be tears as staff bid a fond farewell to children who have become a big part of their lives whilst with the Discovery Family.

“However it is a wonderful way to end the children’s time with us and commemorate our time together.”

As the parents came together, one parent said “Thank you for looking after my child for almost four years, it has been like his home from home and a second family.”
