Pregnant mother and baby treated by paramedics after Littlehampton car fire

A PREGNANT woman and a baby were treated for smoke inhalation after a car fire next to their home.

Fire crews from Littlehampton and East Preston were called to Aspen Close, Littlehampton, just before 1.30am on Saturday (October 3), where the car was in flames.

The woman and baby, and a man, were in an adjacent house, that was left damaged by heat and smoke, and were checked over by paramedics.

The car was said by West Sussex Fire and Rescue to be severely damaged.
