Preparations under way for Bognor Regis' Christmas celebrations

BOGNOR Regis will twinkle and shine at the end of the month.

The town will be alight with festive cheer on Saturday, November 26, as the town’s Christmas lights, organised by the Bognor Regis Town Council, are turned on.

To add a sense of magic and fantasy the switch will be flicked by the stars of this year’s pantomime, The Wizard of Oz.

Dorothy, the Scarecrow and the Tin Man will appear alongside other guests on the podium at the front of The Arcade for the big moment at 4.30pm.

Other activities will take place throughout the day, including appearances from some of Carte Blanche’s ‘My Blue Nose Friends’ characters.

Reynolds Furniture Store will become home to Santa’s Grotto and a magical garden. This will open from 10am-5pm with a break while Santa tends his reindeer at lunch time. The cost will be £1.50 per child.

As an extra gift Arun District Council has arranged for free parking all day in the Fitzleet multi-storey car park.
