Quiz night raises more than £1,000 for Care For Veterans

Elizabeth Baxter, Care for Veterans’ head of fundraising and marketing, acted as quizmaster. She led the teams through eight interactive rounds of questions, which included pictures and sound clips.

The winning team was The Mullets, led by the wife of one of the resident veterans, who won on a tie-break question.

Christine Gillott, fundraising officer and event organiser, said: “From all of us here at Care for Veterans, I’d like to thank everyone who came and took part and helped us to raise this fantastic amount of money for the care and rehabilitation of our veterans.”
