One of the residents to spot the craft was John Hudson, who took a photograph of a low-flying helicopter over Park Avenue.

Hannah Lake lives close to Homefield Park and said she spotted two circulating in the sky.

She said: “My dog was going mad in the garden so I went out. I saw two of them circulate the house before they went down. It’s a bit strange.”
