Record crowds attend outdoor cinema

A record number of revellers took over Littlehampton seafront for an outdoor cinema event.

On Saturday, an estimated 4,000 people turned up to watch Dirty Dancing at the Screen on the Green Outdoor Cinema, an event organised by Littlehampton Town Council.

The film started at 8.45pm after a speech from the mayor of Littlehampton Ian Buckland.

Tyndall Jones collected £973 for the Mayor’s charity Coastal West Sussex Mind, his biggest-ever collection at a single event.
