Relief as missing trio in safe hands at last

She feared her kittens were gone forever. But Julia House was delighted when the three nine-week old cats were returned to her by a concerned Bognor Regis resident.

The kittens, called Squidgy, Molly and Twinkle, went missing sometime between last Wednesday night and Thursday morning while Miss House was away on holiday.

Her parents had been looking in to check up on them and let them into the garden, but when her nan visited on Thursday they were gone.

And it was feared they would not be returned alive as they were yet to be weened from their mother and be spayed and vaccinated. But luckily they were spotted by a worried resident who thought they looked too young to be on their own and were eventually returned to their rightful home.

Miss House has thanked the couple, known only as Diana and Mick, for returning the kittens to her safely. She said: 'They were returned to us on Monday night.

'It seems as though some children took them out of the garden and back to their estate.

'We are very grateful to Diana and Mick for returning them, they wouldn't even accept our reward.'
