Retailer top in high street for customer service
Wilko has the highest level of customer satisfaction on the high street, according to the latest UK Customer Satisfaction Index.
Rising 45 places since last year, Wilko, who has a store in Worthing’s Guildbourne Centre, scored the number two spot in the July 2016 survey, behind online retailer Amazon who came in at number one.
Robin Lassiter, Wilko retail director said: “This is an extremely proud moment for us. At Wilko our team members work tirelessly to help our customers get their to dos done, so it’s testament to their hard work to be placed so highly by the UKSCI.
“There are some popular retailers on the list so it’s a credit that our customers have rated us so positively, especially when pitted against such strong competition. We hope our customers will continue to enjoy the high level of customers service that they’ve come to love and expect from our 387 stores nationwide.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our retail team members. Every day they go the extra mile for our customers and this accolade is testament to their dedication and hard work.”
The UKCSI is the national measure of UK customer satisfaction, rating customer satisfaction at a national, sector and organisational level across 13 sectors – individually rating many leading organizations.
The index runs every six months since January 2008 and involves interviews with 10,000 UK consumers.
