Rye Council freezesRugby Club rent
Rye Town Council voted, this week, to freeze the rent charged to Rye Rugby Club for using the Freda Gardham Playing Field in recognition of the work the Club does in encouraging young people to be healthy and active.
The rent has remained at £500 per annum since 2005.
The Mayor acknowledged the good work the club does and Rye Rother councillor Sam Souster said: “It is so important that young people get exercise.”
