Rye Pharmacy raisesmoney for hospital

The Day Lewis Pharmacy at Rye raised £3,510 for the critical care unit at the Conquest Hospital.

Emma Morris, from the pharmacy, said: “Our colleague, Laura who has been very unwell, managed to come and present the cheque with us.

“It was her suggestion that we supported the critical care unit after their wonderful work helping her on her road to recovery.

The money was raised through selling raffle tickets, donations from customers and a collection from the cast and crew of Mapp and Lucia.

“We were completely overwhelmed by the support we received from both locals and visitors to the town.

“Kirit Patel, the head of the company, matches every pound raised by the shops.”
