The money was raised by collecting days held in Rye.

Rotary members were out in force over the Christmas period delighting people with their special Winnie the Pooh woodland display.

The Club has announced that it will be awarding cheques of £500 each to the following charities; Alzheimer’s Society; Sara Lee Trust; Rye and District Community Transport; Ebola in Sierra Leone (to a specific charity KSF Trust); Rye Responders, and Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.

Robert Holland Rotary president thanked club members for the collection effort, sometimes carried out in bad weather conditions, and the public for their generosity and response to the named charities.

Presentations will be made over the next few weeks.
