Safety partnership rural roadshows

The various partners who make up the partnership will be showcasing their services this week and explaining their work to residents, as well as listening to any concerns or suggestions people may have regarding crime and disorder.

Priorities for the year include anti-social behaviour, road safety, violent crime, drugs and alcohol, engagement and reassurance.

The team will be in a different town each day, including the High Street car park in Steyning tomorrow and Place de Villerest in Storrington on Wednesday, from 10am to 2pm.

Partners confirmed to attend include West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, Sussex Police, Horsham District Council and West Sussex County Council.

Sue Rogers, cabinet member for a safer and healthier district, said: “It is important that the community partnership team and their partners are getting out and about among the wider district community to both showcase their work and gather feedback direct from residents.

“Such events serve to reassure residents of the work of the partnership and I hope we reach as many people as possible during these events.”
