Sainsbury’s delivery van catches fire

TWO fire engines were deployed to Sainsbury’s in Rustington after a delivery van set alight.

The crews from Worthing used two breathing apparatus and two hose reels to put out the blaze which is believed to have started accidentally at 3.17pm.

The van was in the storage area of the store in New Road.

A positive pressure ventilation fan was also used at the scene.

The incident was resolved by 3.51pm.
