People travelling in and around Brighton and Preston Park have been warned to expect delays due to this weekend’s Brighton Pride.

Otherwise there appeared to be little morning congestion on either the major or minor roads around Sussex.

On the trains, a major signalling problem means there are currently no trains running between Uckfield and Hurst Green, according to a statement on Southern’s website just before 10am.

Uckfield line tickets were valid on Southern train services between Lewes/Haywards Heath and London while the problem continued.

Southern also said that Brighton and Hove were accepting rail ticket holders on bus services (Route 29) between Lewes and Tunbridge Wells.

Otherwise rail services appeared to be running on time.

Today’s weather is set to be dry this morning with sunny spells and a light breeze, but clouding over throughout the afternoon in some places.

Tonight is expected to be dry.
