On May 6 at St John’s Smith Square concert hall in London, the SRWA orchestra performed at the Woodard Musician of the Year competition.

Parent, Mrs Taylor, said: “The orchestra keeps on getting better and better even though that seems like an impossibility. Lots of people approached our students to say they should enter for Musician of the Year next year.”

Director of performing arts, Mr Williams, said: “What better way to spend a bank holiday Sunday than in the company of such talented and outstanding young people, they were a credit to the Academy, their family and friends and the local community.”

Arts festival tickets are free from SRWA reception.
