School’s improvement is a fine farewell for head teacher

IMPROVED GCSE results at Davison High School for Girls, in Selborne Road, Worthing, have allowed retiring head teacher, Della West, to bow out on a high.

Eighty-five per cent of pupils achieved five or more A*-C grades, an increase of three per cent on last year’s results.

Della said: “I am so pleased to see this year group do well. Today has been a really good final results day for me, seeing them so delighted with their achievements. Every success is thoroughly deserved and I wish them continuing success in their future studies.”

For the full GCSE round-up, see the Worthing Herald, Thursday, August 29.
