Sea creatures in fun walk with a serious message

Children had dressed up for a charity walk to raise money for Meningitis Now.

Sophie Murray, of Dominion Road, Worthing, organised the Toddle Waddle with her elder sister Nicole Murray.

It was in memory of their baby sister, Luana, who died from meningitis aged ten months old in 2007.

Sophie said: “Our family and friends, babies, toddlers and children, dressed up as sea creatures for a walk along the seafront and through town.

“Our gorgeous little sister, Luana Murray, lost her life to this cruel and devastating disease, so we are raising money for the charity Meningitis Now. It’s such a great cause.

“Our aim is to raise as much money as we can and to also raise awareness about meningitis.”

They raised a total of £706.

Sophie and her family have been raising money for Meningitis Now since Luana died nine years ago and the total over the years is around £12,500.
