Serious Bexhill crash now under investigation

At 4.20am on Saturday (November 19) emergency services were called to Turkey Road.
Two cars - a Renault Clio and a Ford Focus - had been in collision and firefighters used cutting equipment to free four people trapped inside the Renault.

Hide AdOne, an 18-year-old woman from Bexhill who was a passenger, suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
Following surgery she is currently in a critical but stable condition.
The driver of the Renault, a 20-year-old man from Bexhill, sustained serious injuries for which he was treated at the Conquest Hospital.
Also taken there with slight injuries was a passenger, a 21-year-old man from Bexhill, while another passenger with slight injuries, a 20-year-old man from Bexhill, went to the RSCH.

Hide AdThe driver of the Ford Focus, a 33-year-old man from Bexhill, sustained minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
The road was closed for several hours while the incident was dealt with.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or noticed either vehicle being driven shortly before the crash to contact them.
They can do so by emailing [email protected] ot phoning 101, quoting Operation Alva.
