Severe weather warning for Herald, Gazette and Observer areas

THE Met Office has today (Tuesday, July 10) issued a severe weather warning for tomorrow (Wednesday, July 11).

The “be aware” warning, issued by the Met Office for the south east, comes into force at 12.05am tomorrow and ends at 8pm.

A Met Office spokesman said: “Further heavy showers are likely on Tuesday night and through Wednesday across much of Wales and the southern half of England.

“The main focus for showers is likely to be across southwest England and Wales overnight then transfer across to eastern England by Wednesday afternoon.

“By this stage showers across Wales and southwest England should be easing.

“The public should be aware that with the ground being saturated, localised flooding could occur.”
