The Shard duty manager set to fall from dizzying height

Daisy Carr, duty manager at The Shard, will be doing a 15,000ft sky dive on Saturday to raise money for two charities.

Daisy, of Ely Road, Worthing, is supporting Thames Reach, a charity which supports homeless, vulnerable and isolated men and women through a range of services, activities and accommodation projects.

She also wants St Barnabas House hospice in Worthing to benefit from her efforts.

Daisy said both charities were close to her heart.

“The first charity I have chosen is located where I was born and grew up in London,” she explained.

“If more of these services were available then maybe someone very close to me would be alive today.

“The second charity is one local to my new home town, Worthing. I am doing this for my fiancée.

“Sadly I wasn’t able to meet her dad and nan and I know how much they are loved and missed dearly.

“I would like to raise money to help this charity as they were such a big help to them and they continue to make people’s lives easier in their final last days.”

Daisy worked at the Olympic Village as a security officer during the 2012 London Games. She started at The Shard in March, 2013.
