Alex McKenzie-Orr has been running his grocery and garden store, on the corner of Connaught Avenue and Freehold Street, since 1975.

Despite offering free evening deliveries and a comprehensive selection of vegetables and home-grown plants, he said he was losing business to the larger out-of-town stores.

Mr McKenzie-Orr said: People don t look around like they used to years ago.
