Shop front collapses in Lancing

Part of a shop front collapsed onto a street in Lancing last night (Thursday, March 26).

Fire crews were called to North Road just after 7.15pm.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said it was responding to reports that part of a shop front had 'collapsed onto the street'.

A spokesperson added: “One crew from Lancing Fire Station was mobilised to the scene, and upon arrival they worked to make the scene and neighbouring properties safe.

"Officers from Sussex Police were also in attendance.

“The crew booked away from the incident at 8.33pm."
