Shoreham fund-raisers get into the groove for Worthing stroke ward

AN AFTERNOON of moving and shaking converted fun into charity cash.

Zumba instructor Charlotte Fisher held a fitness party, at the Shoreham Centre, in Pond Road, Shoreham, and raised more than £400 for Worthing Hospital’s stroke ward.

She said: “I am pleased to tell the party was a great success.

“Lots of people, almost 100, came from all walks of life.

“There were old, young, people who had never done Zumba before, people who were just passing and decided to join in when they saw how much fun we were having!”

Charlotte, of Richmond Road, Worthing, added that the stroke ward was very close to her heart, as her father, David “Gray” Fisher, died there just before Christmas last year.

“The doctors and nurses were fantastic,” she said.
