Shoreham lifeboat crews rescue stricken boat off Worthing

Lifeboat crews were called out to rescue a stricken vessel at sea this morning (Saturday, July 25).

Shoreham RNLI said it had to launch its all-weather lifeboat just after 8am following reports that the tugboat was drifting in the water after breaking down.

The vessel, which had two people on board, was later towed into safety at Brighton Marina.

The RNLI said the boat was drifting off the coast of Worthing after running into trouble.
