Sick thieves strike

SICK thieves are thought to have crawled through the dog-flap in a door to steal a severely disabled woman's computer.

Sally Ann Pearson's family believe the burglars not only know her but know her dog.

Sally Ann's spaniel, Lucky, family to give his customary guard dog bark when the burglars struck last Thursday afternoon at her Jubilee Road home at Sidley.

Peggy Pearson said: "Sally Ann is 43 and has cerebral palsy.

"We believe these two yobs went next door, climbed over the fence and get in through the dog-flap.

"They took my daughter's most precious possession - the computer we clubbed together as a family to buy her. We got it because we thought it would help keep her hands moving.

"It cost us 499. She had only had it for 12 weeks.

"These swine have ransacked her bedroom, stolen her mobile phone and made off with her computer.

"They must have know she is disabled - and that she was out. She keeps her buggy in a garage in the garden. To get to the buggy she uses a trolley. She leaves the trolley by the garage when she is out.

"She had just gone out down to her friend's house.

"I think they are local and that they knew her.

"Her next door neighbour caught them climbing over the fence and they said 'It's all right - Sally Ann knows we do this...'

"Also, Lucky didn't bark. He would have barked if they were strangers to him.

"I would like to find out who took her stuff and take them as far as I could!

"The house was locked up. The only thing was she left the dog-flap open. Someone must have known that...

"I don't know about the people round here. Four kids stole my car, took it to Ninfield Road and trashed it. They could see there was a disabled sticker in the car.

"I don't bother with a car now. I just use a buggy."
