Sir Peter Bottomley calls for West Worthing railway crossing work to be speeded up

Worthing West MP Sir Peter Bottomley has backed the area’s businesses in calling for traffic light works on West Worthing railway crossing to be speeded up.

He believed the eight week delay could be hugely damaging to firms in the area and is calling on West Sussex County Council to handle the issue as a priority.

Traders have already expressed their dismay at being given two weeks notice of the works, which they say are already having a considerable effect.
