Sleepy shopper snoozes in Worthing shop window

Passers-by gathered at the front of Sharps Bedrooms, in Montague Street, Worthing, as the fully-clothed man caught 40 winks.

Karen Love, the store manager, said: “All these people were gathering and I went to the front of the shop and a man said ‘look, you’ve got a lodger’.”

A spokesperson for Sharps Bedrooms said they were aware that a man had climbed into a bed within one of the fitted bedroom displays. They said: “Once the showroom manager had checked the gentleman was okay, she kindly asked him to leave the showroom, which he did.”
