SLIDESHOW: Your chance to pick top photo from 12 stunning Sussex scenes

A dozen stunning entries are competing for the title of Sussex Wildlife Trust’s top photo of the year.

The judges had the task of choosing 12 from the 700 entries sent in to the competition.

All 12 will be featured in the trust’s calendar.

However, it’s down to a public vote to pick the winner who will pick up a £100 cash prize.

You can join the public vote at the Sussex Wildlife Trust’s website www.sussexwildlifetrust.org.uk

Neil Fletcher, the trust’s Communications Officer, said: “This year we were really impressed by the way everyone interpreted the theme ‘My Wild Sussex’. We kept this deliberately vague, precisely because we wanted to see what wild Sussex means to you. Of course there were plenty of stunning landscapes, but also really intimate wildlife portraits, from rutting deer to ambling newts to preening crickets. But we were especially pleased this year to see a number of images which included people, or urban environments – we are all still part of wild Sussex after all.”
