Songs and Santa at Lancing Christmas Market

A performance packed Christmas market will be held in Queensway next Saturday, December 17 with a range of festive entertainment.

Lancing Parish council has organised a line-up of shows and stalls, which will take place alongside the regular farmers market.

The entertainment will kick off at 9.45am with a performance from the Nautical Training Corps marching band.

The Lancing British Legion brass band will entertain from 10am to 11.30am, while community carols will take place at 11am.

Elvis will make a special appearance between 12am and 1pm, followed by a show from the Shoreham Allstars.

Santa hand out free presents for children from a steam traction engine on North Road, which will be closed off.

Children can also enjoy a teacup ride.

Councillor Ann Bridges, who has organised the event, said she hoped everybody will come and enjoy the free community event.

The town’s new Christmas tree, which went up last Friday, is also based in Queensway this year and was sponsored by Brighton and Hove Albion, Lancing and Sompting Lions and Jacob Steel estate agents.
