South coast ambulance trust gets top marks

PATIENTS in Sussex have praised South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS foundation trust’s (SECAmb) patient transport service (PTS).

A recent survey carried out as part of SECAmb’s drive to improve its service revealed 96 per cent of patients transported by the PTS in Sussex between April and June 2012 were either very satisfied or satisfied with the service they received.

The overall level of satisfaction with the service, which takes into account factors such as logistics with partner agencies, showed 68 per cent of patients very satisfied with the service and 28 per cent satisfied.

SECAmb’s Head of Commercial Services Robert Bell said: “I would like to thank our staff for their continued professionalism, dedication and care that they show to our patients on a daily basis.

“SECAmb is proud that our patients receive the excellent and personal care and attention they deserve.

“We are however not complacent and will of course use the results of this survey to further improve the service we provide to our patients across our whole region.”
