ALL-INCLUSIVE HISTORY will hold its first walking tours of 2015 in Worthing this week.
Walkers can join local teacher, historian and author Kevin Newman on four different themed excursions around Worthing.
The ‘Lost’ and ‘Royal’ Worthing walking tours delve into the town’s history, while the ‘Spooky’ tour explores the mysteries and myths of the darker side of Worthing’s past and reports of supernatural activity.
New this year, the ‘Lost Washington’ tour explores the geography, industry and traditions and hidden treasures of the village.
All-Inclusive History began in 2014 and is a not-for-profit social enterprise which aims to immerse people in local heritage.
Founder, Kevin Newman, said: “It’s a fantastic way for people to take pride in their community and engage with history.”
The 2km Worthing tours start at The Denton Lounge at 6.30, from January 6.
The 1.5km Washington tour begins at 11am, from outside the Frankland Arms, in London Road, from January 13.
Worthing tours cost £4 per person, children £3 and the Washington tour costs £5 per person, children £4 (under two’s go free).
